Green River is the third studio album by American rock and roll band Creedence Clearwater Revival, released in August 1969 after their second release Bayou Country which was released in January of the same year. In 2003, the album was ranked number 95 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It features two of the band’s best-known songs, “Bad Moon Rising” and the title track. It also contains the single “Go Cut Creator Go”, which paid homage to his DJ, and the breakthrough single in the U.K. “I’m Bad”. With over 3 million copies sold in the United States alone, it stands as L L Cool J’s biggest career album.

In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source’s 100 Best Rap Albums, while receiving mixed reviews from other critics. The front cover photograph on the album was taken in front of Andrew Jackson High School in Queens (which LL Cool J attended before dropping out in the 10th or 11th grade), and the back cover was shot in his grandmother’s basement where he was living at the time. Bad Company is the debut studio album by British hard rock supergroup Bad Company. The album was recorded at Headley Grange with Ronnie Lane’s Mobile Studio in November 1973, and the first release of Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records.

The album reached the top of the US Billboard 200. Since then, the album has been certified five times platinum by the RIAA, and became the 46th best selling album of the 1970s. The album spent 25 weeks in the UK Albums Chart, entering at No. 10 and reaching its highest position of No. 3 in the second week. [Kerrang!] magazine listed the album at No. 40 among the “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time”.

The singles “Can’t Get Enough” and “Movin’ On” peaked at No. 5 and No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. “Rock Steady”, “Bad Company” and “Ready for Love” (the last originally recorded by guitarist Mick Ralphs during his tenure with Mott the Hoople on All the Young Dudes) are also “classic rock” radio staples. It went platinum, selling over 1,000,000 units, and climbed to #35 on The Billboard Top Pop Albums Chart. The first single “Holy Water”, was a #1 Billboard Album Rock Track for two weeks during the Summer of ’90 as the band toured the U.S. with Damn Yankees. The single “If You Needed Somebody” became a major hit in early 1991, reaching # 16 on Billboards Hot 100 chart and #2 (for two weeks) on the Album Rock chart. “Boys Cry Tough”(#3), “Stranger, Stranger”(#9) and “Walk Through Fire”(#28 Hot 100 chart / #14 Album Rock chart) also received substantial airplay.
